Welcome Back to Elyria Community Elementary
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2026/2027 academic year! I hope your summer was filled with fun, relaxation, and core memories to cherish. I am delighted to have you with us as we prepare for the next chapter in your scholar’s educational story.
A new school year presents fresh opportunities for growth, connections, and achievement. Our committed educators and staff have been preparing lessons and materials, creating fun and safe spaces together to welcome you. We look forward to partnering with you to create a supportive, inspiring environment where your child can learn, grow, and thrive.
Here are a few important details to help you start the school year:
Open House: Open House will be held on August 17, 2026 from 3:00-6:00 pm. During this time, your child will meet the teacher, visit their new classroom, and may drop off their supplies to ease first-day responsibilities.
School Start Date: August 19, 2025. The school day begins promptly at 8:15 and ends at 3:25. Doors will open at 7:50, and we kindly request that all students arrive on time to ensure a smooth start to their day.
Communication: Clear communication between school and home is crucial for your child’s success. We will be using Class Dojo and School Messenger to keep you informed about school events, announcements, and your child’s progress. Please ensure you are signed up for these platforms to stay connected. If you need to contact the administrative team, please use email or call the office.
First Day Expectations: Parents of our Kindergarten classes can walk their child in for the first 3 days of school and drop them off to their teacher. All parents are expected to exit the building by the start of announcements at 8:10.
We look forward to working alongside you to inspire a love of learning, build meaningful connections, and help each student reach their fullest potential. As we begin this new school year, we are excited for all that we can accomplish together. Thank you for allowing us to play a role in your child’s learning and growth.
We look forward to a fantastic school year ahead!
Kindly,
Ashley Blasik
