History
Founded in 2001, Constellation Schools grew out of a community’s desire to offer an educational choice that balanced academic achievement with life skills, character education, and social-emotional learning. Over the years, Constellation Schools garnered many awards including the US Department of Education’s Blue Ribbon award and multiple School of Promise and Momentum awards from the Ohio Department of Education. Today, Constellation Schools comprise of 15 learning communities operated by ACCEL Schools, one of the nation’s leading charter school management companies.

Academics
The educational offerings at all Constellation Schools are accredited by Cognia™ and meet or exceed Ohio state standards. In fact, students on average receive 22 percent more instructional time each school day as a result of ACCEL’s instructional model and methods. All students benefit from educational technology including classrooms outfitted with Smartboards, 1:1 Chromebooks, and more. Campuses feature facilities such as libraries, science and computer labs, art and music rooms, and outdoor fields and playgrounds to allow students the optimal environment for personal and academic growth (facility offerings vary by campus).
Elementary School
Constellation Schools’ youngest learners benefit from small class sizes and nurturing instruction where academics are balanced with life skills and character education. Students develop strong reading and language arts skills and build foundational mathematics abilities that form the basis of their success in the upper grades. They explore social studies concepts in a collaborative environment with sensitivity to cultural difference. Hands-on, small group learning is fundamental to our science program. In addition to core academics aligned with Ohio standards, students participate in character education, social-emotional learning, PE, and Art and Music programs.
Middle School
Coursework expands in the middle school grades with students continuing to grow in their understanding of English, history, mathematics, science, and social studies. Students can choose from a range of elective courses in the Arts, Technology, Science, and more. They have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities including clubs, fine and performing arts, student government, and sports.
High School
The goal of our high school program is to equip students with the academic knowledge, character traits, and life skills necessary to succeed in college and career pursuits. To this end, the Constellation Schools offer academic coursework required for successful graduation as well as advanced courses, college and career development, electives, and extracurricular activities. Students benefit from small class sizes, project-based learning, and service learning opportunities.School Services

Founded in 2014, ACCEL Schools is a K-12 public charter school management organization (CMO) serving students across the United States in brick-and-mortar, virtual, and hybrid school settings. We focus on improving academic outcomes of students regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic factors. The leadership team at ACCEL Schools has a combined 1000+ years of experience as global school management operators with expertise in curriculum research and design, assessment, student support services, and education consulting. Our entire team fundamentally believes that all children deserve a great education and students should be supported as they pursue a wide variety of post-secondary options.
