Constellation Schools are public charter schools. We are our own school districts authorized by Ohio-based sponsors who provide oversight and enforces academic, fiscal, and legal accountability. We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high performing network of over 80 charter schools located throughout the United States.
Community Schools (Charter Schools) offer families an alternative to the local public school. Community schools are tuition-free, open to all students in the county, and focused on meeting student needs for success. Community schools are among the top-performing schools in the nation. The educational offerings at all Constellation Schools are accredited by Cognia™ and meet or exceed Ohio state standards. In fact, students on average receive 22 percent more instructional time each school day as a result of ACCEL’s instructional model and methods. All students benefit from educational technology including classrooms outfitted with Smartboards, 1:1 Chromebooks, and more. Campuses feature facilities such as libraries, science and computer labs, art and music rooms, and outdoor fields and playgrounds to allow students the optimal environment for personal and academic growth (facility offerings vary by campus).
Elementary SchoolConstellation Schools’ youngest learners benefit from small class sizes and nurturing instruction where academics are balanced with life skills and character education. Students develop strong reading and language arts skills and build foundational mathematics abilities that form the basis of their success in the upper grades. They explore social studies concepts in a collaborative environment with sensitivity to cultural difference. Hands-on, small group learning is fundamental to our science program. In addition to core academics aligned with Ohio standards, students participate in character education, social-emotional learning, PE, and Art and Music programs.
Middle SchoolCoursework expands in the middle school grades with students continuing to grow in their understanding of English, history, mathematics, science, and social studies. Students can choose from a range of elective courses in the Arts, Technology, Science, and more. They have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities including clubs, fine and performing arts, student government, and sports.
High SchoolThe goal of our high school program is to equip students with the academic knowledge, character traits, and life skills necessary to succeed in college and career pursuits. To this end, the Constellation Schools offer academic coursework required for successful graduation as well as advanced courses, college and career development, electives, and extracurricular activities. Students benefit from small class sizes, project-based learning, and service learning opportunities.
Our campuses are safe learning communities where students can pursue a well-rounded education. Dedicated teachers encourage students to build fundamental academic skills while growing in their understanding of self and contributing to their community. Schools offer a range of on-campus activities, extracurriculars, travel experiences, and community service opportunities to help students develop 21st Century skills such as creativity, collaboration, cultural awareness, problem-solving, critical thinking, and more.
