Welcome Back to Puritas Community Elementary
Dear Puritas Community Elementary School Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are excited to welcome our returning families back and extend a warm welcome to those joining the Puritas community for the first time.
As we prepare for the year ahead, we would like to introduce ourselves as your Assistant Principals. Sue Sowa serves students and families in grades K–4, while Joe Beavers serves students and families in grades 5–8. Although our day-to-day responsibilities focus on different grade levels, we are united in our commitment to making Puritas a safe, welcoming, and supportive school for every student.
The safety and well-being of our students will always be a priority. We want every child who walks through our doors to feel safe, welcomed, supported, and cared for. Just as importantly, we want every student—regardless of background, culture, home language, or individual needs—to know that they belong at Puritas and are an important part of our school community.
Strong partnerships with families are essential to helping children succeed. You know your children best, and we value your questions, concerns, ideas, and involvement. By communicating openly and working together, we can help every student feel confident, connected, and ready to learn.
Please mark these important dates on your calendar:
- Open House: Monday, August 17, from 2:00–6:00 p.m.
- First Day of School: Wednesday, August 19
- Breakfast: Breakfast provided daily from 7:50 – 8:05.
Thank you for trusting us with your children. It is a responsibility we take seriously and a privilege we do not take for granted. We’re excited about the year ahead and look forward to welcoming you and your children back to Puritas!
