At Old Brooklyn Community Elementary, we are thrilled to share the incredible progress of our theater program, now in its third year as part of the Disney Musicals in Schools initiative with Playhouse Square. In just three short years, we’ve transformed from having no theater program to one that is vibrant, inspiring, and cherished by our students, staff, and community.

This year, our program has reached an exciting milestone: over 100 students auditioned for our upcoming production of The Lion King! Theater has become a cornerstone experience for our 3rd-5th graders, offering them a unique platform to express themselves, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships. Watching our young actors grow in confidence, teamwork, and artistic talent has been nothing short of magical.

Our dedicated teacher team works tirelessly alongside our enthusiastic students, and together, they bring creativity and passion to every rehearsal. The support from our community has been incredible, helping us make this program a success.

But now, we need your help to take our production to the next level! To bring The Lion King to life, we need funds to purchase costumes, props, and scenery. Additionally, your support will help us sustain the program for future productions, ensuring that more students can benefit from this transformative experience.

Every donation, big or small, helps us ROAR toward our March production! Join us in creating something extraordinary for our students and community. Together, we can make this dream a reality.

Thank you for your support, and we can’t wait to see you at the show!
