What this means for your family

Improvement in Early Literacy: Elyria Community’s 1-star increase in Early Literacy reflects continued focus on the foundational reading skills that shape learning across every subject. For families with young learners, that means students are getting support as they build skills that can help them throughout their education.

Growth in Student Progress: Madison Community Elementary improved its Student Progress rating by 1 star, while Old Brooklyn Community Elementary, Old Brooklyn Community Middle, Parma Community, and Westside Community School of the Arts each earned 4 Stars for Student Progress. These results show students are continuing to build their skills and make meaningful academic gains over time.

5-Star Student Progress: Westpark Community Elementary earned 5 Stars for Student Progress. A strong Progress rating is one of the most reassuring things a parent can see because it reflects how much students are growing academically, no matter where they started.

Strong Gap Closing: Westpark Community Middle earned 4 Stars in Gap Closing and ranked #47 among Ohio charter schools. A strong Gap Closing rating reflects a school’s commitment to supporting different groups of learners and helping every student get the support they need to succeed.

Year-Over-Year Improvement: Several Constellation Schools improved across multiple measures this year. Old Brooklyn Community Elementary made gains in its overall, Achievement, Progress, and Gap Closing ratings; Old Brooklyn Community Middle improved across Progress, Achievement, and Gap Closing; Parma Community increased its overall rating; and Westside Community School of the Arts improved in Progress, Gap Closing, Early Literacy, and overall rating.

These results are more than numbers on a report card. They reflect the daily work of teachers, staff, students, and families coming together to help every student grow. Across Constellation Schools, that commitment shows up in the classroom every day, and it’s a big part of why families continue to choose us.
