At Constellation Schools: Stockyard Community Elementary & Middle, we believe that when a student is present, great things happen! Showing up consistently—what we call “Strong Attendance”—is the first, most important step to success. We’ve had an amazing year celebrating this commitment!

Kicking Off with the Cleveland Browns’ “Stay in the Game” (SITG) Program

We started the year with a huge school-wide PEP Rally! We were thrilled to host Cleveland Browns player Joel Bitonio, who shared an inspiring message and brought us great resources. The Browns’ “Stay in the Game” (SITG) program is an amazing partner—their support for our students is truly game-changing!

Celebrating Effort, Not Just Perfection

Every 21st of the month is a special celebration day!

• No Days Missed: We celebrate students who have not missed a single day, acknowledging their consistent effort.
• Big Improvements: Strong Attendance is also about growth! We give awards and prizes (like SITG shirts, gear, cookies, and pizza) to students who have shown major improvement since last year or the beginning of the school year.

Fun Incentives and Class Competitions!

We’ve made attendance a fun challenge!

• Class Contests: Our classes are competing to earn letters to spell out a party! Mrs. Smith’s class already earned a “D-O-N-U-T P-A-R-T-Y” and is now working toward an “Ice Cream Party.” When every student is present, the class moves closer to the reward! We keep everyone updated on Class Dojo and daily announcements.
• Game Day Tickets: Kelly, our generous representative from the Stay in the Game program, even gives us free game day tickets for our best attenders!

The Result: More Students, More Learning!

Since starting this program, we have seen a huge jump in attendance!

This program hasn’t just increased our numbers; it has made our classrooms stronger, our friendships tighter, and our whole school a more vibrant place to be.

We are so grateful for the partnership with the Browns SITG program.  Remember: Every day, every student, and every smile is proof of the power of showing up!
