The Lorain Lions Club is partnering with Constellation Schools: Lorain Community Elementary and Middle for the 2025 International Peace Poster Contest.
The partnership marks the first for the Lorain Lions Club in the annual contest, which sees participation from Lions Clubs worldwide each year, according to Mitchell J. Fallis, press secretary for the Lorain Lions Club.
A news release states the theme for the Peace Poster Contest is “Together As One,” and students ages 11 to 13 are encouraged to create artwork to reflect the theme.
“It’s a newer initiative for us, as a club, and the people who are on the committee for this are excited to have it launched in a school district,” Fallis said. “We are excited for the kids to participate in an international competition.”
Sharon Pye-Brown, an art teacher at Lorain Community Elementary and Middle Constellation School, was eager to join with the organization in the competition to showcase her students’ work, according to Fallis.
